In 1644 the theater was finally demolished due to disuse since the English Puritan Administration closed all theaters in the city of London in 1642. This theater is known for its relationship with the writer William Shakespeare. The English playwright owned a small part of the theater, but, even more, he acted there and many of his works also came to life.
The stage was rectangular in shape, 13 meters wide and 8 meters deep, located one and a half meters from the ground. To access the platform there were two trapdoors and the lower part
Built of wood in 1599, it was destroyed by fire fourteen years later, when a stage cannon illuminated its thatched roof. It took only two hours for the Globe to burn and collapse. On June 29, 1613, during a performance of Shakespeare's Henry VIII, small cannons were fired from the stage, without ammunition, but with real gunpowder. The thatched roof caught fire. Everything burned down in about an hour.

VENICE

"The Merchant of Venice" is structured around the anecdote of the failure of a guarantee and the bloodthirsty claim of the usurer Shylock, and the love relationship between the noble Bassanio and Portia, a rich and beautiful orphan

The main theme of the work, the hatred that the Jew Shylock feels towards Antonio, reflects the antagonism between the Jewish and Christian religions.

Another inspiring place for Shakespeare was Venice. It is poetry itself. It was only natural that Shakespeare would be inspired by her unique beauty. Its unique surroundings, streets, sites and canals provided the perfect landscape for two of his greatest masterpieces, Othello and The Merchant of Venice. Written by Shakespeare between 1594 and 1597, it would not be published until 1600
