Example of stimulus-based question - CED pg 155-156 (E 162-163)
In a study, reserachers recruited 10 graduate students at their university to complete a series of tasks in a lab. Participants were asked to rate how desirable the found each item, either a toaster or a microwave, on a scale from 1 (least) to 10 (most). After completing several complex math problems, participants were told they could choose either the toaster or microwave as a prize for their participation. After selecting one, participants were asked to rate the desirability of both items again. Researchers then compared the participants' initial ratings to the ratings given after selecting a prize. The results are given in the tables.
You can see that although all 3 questions related to the stem, all 3 also came from different areas of the CED.
