All users can utilize the USAM tool to search our internal database for candidates based on skills or resume factors as well as navigating their relationship with their pipeline.

What is a Facet?

A facet is a search filter. They are what we use to narrow down our searches to find matching results. Every time you change your criteria using the facets, it will yield the corresponding results. Let's explore more facet capabilites!

Where do Facets pull information from?

These facets are pulled from the information within the candidate record and will display within the Candidate Pane, showing each result’s details. Hover over each marker for more facet information!

Each of these Data Sources come from three different sources:

  • Internal Database
  • Call Lists
  • Submissions
These will contextually change your downstream experience with the selection.

What is the Advanced Search Facet?

The Advanced Search Facet houses other available pieces of information that are:

  • true/false
  • date
  • checkbox
  • name bound
This information is pulled from the Candidate Record. For example, combine multiple criterias such as: Minimum Salary and Last Candidate Visit By.

Once the Activity Filter is selected, it will create an activity bucket. Once the activity bucket is created, you will be able to add the defined options of:

  • Activity Owner
  • Activity Date
  • Activity Type
  • Activity Teams

Use keywords and operators to create more complex and granular searches that are critical to the role you are trying to fill. These keywords will search anything in facets or within the default resume and USAM facets.

In the Candidate Pane, you can view critical candidate details without interrupting other actions. You have two access points to enhance your experience:

  • A button next to the Candidate Name opens the full candidate profile in a new tab
  • Arrows in the right corner allow you to sort through results with minimal clicks.

Utilize the 'w/Tabs' within the Results Pane

w/Tabs Operate like facets in that they continue to filter down by certain criteria. They provide a short-cut to help you quickly identify candidates that you have met with to further refine your search.

You can view your results results in six different tabs that will bring you closest to your pipeline without adding additional perimeters to your search.

Use the Gear Icon to resize each panel for efficienty

  • Nice to Have: Candidates satisfying the selections get a higher ranking than those who do not.
  • Should Have: Candidates satisfying the selections get a considerably higher ranking than those who do not.
  • Must Have: Only candidates satisfying the selections are shown.

Full text show related terms, or synonyms, that can be used to further refine a query. At the top of the terms are options to select all, none, or add a term. Users can select and deselect the terms they’d like to include in the search.

Use the drop down to change where to pull searches from

Data Source Facet Within the Data Source Facet, you will have three available options to focus your search.

  • Internal Database – The default that contains collection of public candidate profiles
  • Call List – Find a call list by name to narrow your search and sort through results easily.
  • Submissions – select a job order by it’s Job Name and filter/sort through the submissions to qualify, call, or easily reject.
