Telling the time
Para preguntar la hora en inglés decimos:
- What time is it?
- What's the time?
ATTENTION! a.m / p.m
En inglés es habitual utilizar el sistema horario de 12 horas. Las indicaciones a.m. (antes del mediodía), y p.m. (después del mediodía), se utilizan para distinguir la mañana de la mañana tarde. 3 a.m.= it’s three in the morning 3 p.m.= it’s three in the afternoon
La expresión o'clock (en punto) se utiliza para la hora exacta. Por ejemplo 'It's ten o'clock'.
To indicate the exact time, I use o'clock
DO YOU REMEMBER?
For example It's twelve o'clock
MIDDAY = 12 p.m
MIDNIGHT= 12 a.m
Usamos " PAST"
The PAST and TO rule is always applies for reading minutes

Usamos PAST para indicar los minutos después de la hora.
It's twenty past two
Usamos "QUARTER PAST..."
Para indicar el cuarto de hora DESPUÉS de la hora, uso QUARTER PAST. FOR EXAMPLE It's a quarter past twelve
Usamos "HALF PAST"
Para indicar la MEDIA HORA, uso HALF PAST. FOR EXAMPLE It's half past one
Usamos "TO"
Uso TO para indicar los minutos (minutes) hasta la siguiente hora (next hour)
It's twenty to three.
Usamos "A QUARTER TO.."
Para indicar el cuarto de hora hasta que cambie la hora, uso "UN CUARTO PARA..". FOR EXAMPLE It's a quarter to one
