It was difficult to know why sharks are fish and dolphins mammals, it was interesting for you the fact that bats are mammals, mice and elephants too... so, let´s start more interesting things about mammals!!! And let´s do it in groups, enjoy the learning!!

Audio

In the next 8 science lessons we are learning things about different mammals. In small groups you will decide what mammal you are going to invesigate about and how you will tell others about the animal you choose.

Jigsaw Method Work in your group to design a presentation, a video, a poster etc. to teach the rest of the class about your mammal. Each group of students work together to process the information. Then they mix with a member of each of the other gruoups to share that information with their Jigsaw Groups. Students return to their Jigsaw Groups and take turns presenting their “chunk” of information. The other students in the Jigsaw Group should actively listen, take notes, and ask questions to tell othes in their root group.

Steps

You have 8 lessons to do the job
  • In groups have a look at the info in this genially
  • Decide on one animal to study about
  • Look for for more information about the animal
  • Decide how you are going to tell others: song, video, lapbook, theatre, interview to a veterinary, speaking with pictures to help understanding...
  • Divide the work each one is doing and the dates
  • Revise the rubric
  • Rehearse

Ask me if you need some help, and check the rubric
