The Library
As you enter the dimly lit library, you are greeted by the sight of towering shelves filled with ancient tomes and manuscripts. At a grand wooden desk, a bespectacled historian sits, meticulously reviewing a parchment. He looks up, peering over his glasses with an air of aloof kindness.
Professor Reginald Thistlewood
"Ah, a seeker of knowledge," he says, his voice carrying the weight of countless lectures and historical debates. "I am Professor Reginald Thistlewood, the resident historian of Bletchley Park. To proceed further in your quest, you must demonstrate your understanding of World War II history. Answer these questions correctly, and I shall reveal to you a vital piece of information regarding the identity of our elusive spy." He gestures towards a set of neatly arranged papers on the desk. "Shall we begin?"
"Greetings, human! I am B.L.E.E.P. (Bletchley Park's Logical and Eccentric Entertainment Program), but you can call me Bleep," it says in an enthusiastic tone. "I have passed the Turing Test, so I am practically human! To proceed, you must solve my series of riddles. Each riddle's answer will give you a letter. Collect all the letters to discover the gender of the spy. Let’s begin!"

As you step into the lush gardens of Bletchley Park, a sense of foreboding washes over you. The sun hangs low in the sky, casting long shadows that dance among the hedges. The air is thick with the scent of blooming flowers, mingling with an underlying trace of something metallic and cold. Before you stands a towering hedge maze, its dark, winding paths inviting yet intimidating. A chill runs down your spine as you approach the entrance, the rustling of leaves sounding almost like whispers. An old, creaky sign stands beside the entrance, covered in vines, its message barely legible: "Enter if you dare. Only the clever and the brave shall find the path to truth." As you cross the threshold into the maze, the world outside fades away, replaced by an eerie silence broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves. The hedge walls loom high above you, their dark green foliage seemingly impenetrable. The path ahead is shrouded in shadows, twisting and turning into the unknown. Your task is clear: navigate the maze to uncover the wheel cipher that holds the next vital clue. Each step you take echoes with the possibility of discovery—or the threat of getting hopelessly lost. The WASD keys will guide you through this labyrinth of secrets.
As you step into the women's quarters at Bletchley Park, a sense of warmth and camaraderie welcomes you. The room is cozy and communal, with simple beds neatly made, wooden wardrobes lined up against the walls, and personal items scattered around, adding a homely touch. Books, photographs, and knitting supplies speak to the lives lived within these walls, creating an atmosphere of shared purpose and quiet determination.

In the corner of the room, a shared desk catches your eye. An old-fashioned Morse code machine sits prominently on the desk, surrounded by notes and letters. The soft glow of lamplight illuminates the space, casting a gentle light on the women’s work area. A notice board nearby is pinned with messages, letters, and snippets of code, adding to the sense of a close-knit community. Your task here is to use the Morse code machine to decipher a crucial message. The room, filled with the echoes of countless messages sent and received, now holds the key to the spy’s identity. The coded message you uncover will reveal an identifying characteristic of the spy. With a sense of resolve, you sit at the desk and prepare to decode the message, knowing that each dot and dash brings you closer to unveiling the truth.
Introduction
As you enter the offices of Bletchley Park, a sense of urgency and intensity envelops you. The room is a hive of activity, filled with desks cluttered with typewriters, rotary phones, and piles of documents. Dim lighting casts long shadows, creating an atmosphere of secrecy and determination. The air is thick with the scent of ink and paper, punctuated by the occasional murmur of voices deep in conversation.
As you make the final turn, the oppressive shadows of the maze begin to lift, and a glimmer of light guides you forward. Your heart races with anticipation as the narrow path widens into a small, secluded clearing at the maze’s heart. There, resting on a stone pedestal, lies the last piece of the wheel cipher, gleaming in the dappled sunlight that filters through the hedge canopy. With a sigh of relief, you approach the pedestal and carefully pick up the final piece, feeling its weight and texture in your hands. You quickly assemble the wheel cipher, the pieces fitting together with a satisfying click. The intricate symbols and numbers align perfectly, revealing the hidden message within. A soft breeze rustles the leaves, as if the maze itself is acknowledging your triumph. You’ve conquered the labyrinth, proving your wit and determination. As you step back onto the main path, the maze’s once ominous presence now feels almost welcoming, the shadows receding in the wake of your success. With the completed wheel cipher in hand, you’ve unlocked the next crucial clue in your quest to uncover the spy at Bletchley Park. Your journey is far from over, but this victory fills you with renewed confidence. You stride forward with purpose, ready to face the next challenge that awaits.
The gravity of your mission settles over you as you approach the chart. The date of the leak, June 12, 1942, is circled in red, a stark reminder of the task at hand. You know that somewhere among these patterns lies the key to identifying the spy. With a deep breath, you begin to scrutinize the shifts, your eyes darting from name to name, date to date. Each detail could be crucial, each anomaly a potential clue. The office, with its subdued hum of activity, becomes a backdrop to your intense focus. Can you find the inconsistency that will reveal the spy’s eye color? The answer lies within these charts, waiting to be discovered by those with the sharpest eyes and the keenest minds.
