DRACARYS
King Jaehaerys I Targaryen — also known as King Jaehaerys the Conciliator because of his ability to unite the seven kingdoms after years of conflict — was the longest reigning Targaryen king, sitting the Iron Throne for a remarkable 55 years.
According to the show, Laenor faked his death with help from Daemon Targaryen and is currently hiding out in Essos without his dragon.
"This is a tragic world. You cannot live your life in fear, or you will forsake the best parts of it." - Daemon Targaryen
All Jaehaerys' children:
- Aegon
- Daenerys
- Aemon
- Baelon
- Alyssa
- Vaegon
- Daella
- Saera
- Viserra
- Gaemon
- Valerion
- Gael
Laenor Velaryon is presumed dead, but in a departure from the source material, he faked his own death with help from Daemon Targaryen and was last seen en route to Essos. The paternity of his and Rhaenyra's sons continues to be in question.
Laenor's Legacy
Rhaenyra was the firstborn and only surviving child of King Viserys I's first marriage to his cousin Aemma Arryn. To prevent his brother Daemon Targaryen from becoming king, Viserys named Rhaenyra his heir when she was 8, and since then she had expected to become the first reigning Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
