Leverage the experience and potential in your team and invite ideas and contributions to how best to achieve your business objectives! Welcome ideas that challenge the status quo or suggest alternative ways of working to achieve the objectives in an even better way.

Provide access to relevant development activities (special projects, development courses, mentoring) for all team members as appropriate, and help talent from different backgrounds progress across the company to make the best of their potential.

In recruitment, be mindful of any unconscious bias when preparing your annual performance reviews or when selecting individuals for development and promotion opportunities.

Attend diversity workshops or get involved in diversity-related networks to make yourself more familiar with this topic and discuss solutions with others.

Seriously consider requests for flexible working – this may relate to full-time or part-time working, and many can be accommodated informally between employee and line manager. If it needs a more formal arrangement, your HR People Partner is available to help.
