1-Running dictation

Music is everywhere, and people love it! A good song has a nice rhythm that makes you want to dance. Singers and bands work hard to compose songs with beautiful lyrics. There are many genres of music, like pop, rock, jazz, classical, rap, and country. Many people use streaming services to listen to their favourite music anytime. What kind of music do you like?

Running dictation

I mostly like Pop music because it has a catchy rhythm, simple lyrics, and repeated choruses. It often has a strong melody and it is very popular. It often uses keyboards, drums, synthesizers, and vocals.

I also enjoy listening to Rock music because it has a strong beat, electric guitars, and powerful vocals. It can be soft or hard or even punk.

6-write out your own rap song Eight lines using a rhyming pattern Use a dictionary on the internet

Now have your work checked by your teacher

Edit your text if necessary.

Make sure your pronunciation is right. Use an online dictionary.

8-Read your text aloud in a rhythmic manner.

- Here's an example: - Standard Delivery: "I grab the mic, I put on a show, listen to my flow." - Rap Rhythmic Manner: "I grab the mic, I put on a show, listen to my flow." In the rap rhythmic manner, the words "grab," "mic," "put," "show," "listen," and "flow" would likely be emphasized and aligned with the beat, with variations in speed and pauses to create an engaging and dynamic rhythm.

9-You could make variations with your voices and make it more dynamic!

Examples of variations

- **Call and Response**: - Voice 1: "I grab the mic," - Voice 2: "Grab the mic," - Voice 1: "I put on a show," - Voice 2: "Put on a show," - Together: "Listen to my flow." - **Harmonizing**: - Both voices say: "I grab the mic," with one voice at a higher pitch. - Both voices say: "I put on a show," with the second voice at a different pitch. - Both voices say: "Listen to my flow," harmonizing the final word. - **Echoing**: - Voice 1: "I grab the mic," - Voice 2 (slightly delayed): "Grab the mic," - Voice 1: "I put on a show," - Voice 2 (slightly delayed): "Put on a show," - Voice 1: "Listen to my flow." - Voice 2 (slightly delayed): "Listen to my flow." - **Layering**: - Voice 1: "I grab the mic," - Voice 2 (ad-lib): "Yeah!" - Voice 1: "I put on a show," - Voice 2 (ad-lib): "Uh-huh!" - Voice 1: "Listen to my flow." - Voice 2 (emphasizing "flow"): "Flow!"

1. Call and Response: One voice says a line, and the other voice responds. 2. Harmonizing: Both voices say the same line but at different pitches. 3. Echoing: One voice says a line, and the other voice repeats it with a slight delay. 4. Layering: One voice raps the main lyrics, while the other adds background ad-libs or emphasizes key words.
