How to play
The aim of these activities is to practice the names of the animals, their body parts and abilities in the context of basic grammar structures.
* Animals in the zoo
Tell your ss that they are going on a trip to the zoo to discover the animals. The game reviews the names of the animals, their body parts and descriptive adjectives. Click the arrow and show the numbers. They correspond to the numbers of the animals in the picture and are shown in random order. Target grammar - It is tall... It has got ... .
* What can they do?
The game reviews can/can't - ss talk about abilities of the animals. The example skills are hidden on the animals. Move your cursor onto the animal and reveal the suggestions. The ss decide what animals can or can't do. The numbers indicate the animal to talk about.
* Compare them
Comparing - ss talk about the animal picked by the number and compare it with the closest animal. You can make this activity as easy or as hard as you want deciding on the target structures you want to practice. The suggested adjectives are also hidden on the animals, so move your cursor and discover.
Variations
* You can easily turn any of these activities into a written exercise and ask ss to create a description of any animal they saw in the zoo. * You can have a class race or a competition rewarding the students for any correct sentence or the most creative one.
