Ms. Sarah Thompson, the newly appointed principal of CTE Tech High School, is committed to improving the quality of instruction and student outcomes across the school's diverse career and technical education programs. Teachers at CTE Tech are dedicated and skilled in their respective trades but there is a significant gap in their instructional strategies, particularly in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities and English language learners. Additionally, student performance data indicates a discrepancy between hands-on practical skills and theoretical knowledge, impacting NOCTI certification exam pass rates. Review the needs analysis documents and create a recommended professional development plan for the 2025-2026 school year. Design a budget of no more than $8000 to support the plan. Then develop a rationale for your plan components and budget justification to present to the school board.
Scenario-Based
Consider
WHAT:
artifacts or evidence is needed to demonstrate mastery? actions should candidates take to build the artifacts? should mentors share with their candidates?
Candidates will lead or co-lead from September - April
Team members identify issues, propose solutions, and help oversee implementation
If I were to be offered the job, what is one:
- insight to consider before saying yes
- tip for my transition
- goal for the future
