THE WAY IT LOOKS

• Physically, ferrets have an elongated body, with short legs and tails and are rounded-eared

• Their fur is usually gray to silver, although it can also be brown

where it lives

• Ferrets can live in forests, rocky areas, prairies, riverbanks where they can stalk their prey

WHAT IT EATS

· They feed mainly on mammals smaller than themselves, such as mice, rats, rabbits, hare. ·They also hunt small vertebrates such as reptiles, birds and amphibians. Insects, seeds, berries and eggs.

WHAT IT CAN DO

• Their slender body and curious nature make ferrets animals with the ability to crawl into holes to chase rodents and rabbits out of their burrows.

• Today, ferrets are, above all, pets. There are many homes that have one or more copies. However, they are also still used for hunting, especially in areas where there are rabbit infestations.

• Ferrets love to curl up and sleep, especially if they can find a nice, comfortable spot for themselves. But when they are not sleeping, they love to jump, climb, hide and run everywhere.
