Who does Forced Migration impact?Forced migration has always been an issue, even since the ancient civilizations. If there is war and conflict in a civilization, there will always be forced migration. People are always going to be discriminated and prosecuted for being a certain way. Forced migration impacts mainly people from more poor countries in which civil wars and wars are occuring frequently. For example, "Around 52% of all these refugees originated from only 3 countries: Syria, Ukraine, and Afghanistan." (Civil Protection) These people are must forcibly migrate to other countries as they are not same in their origin country. There are many organization such as UNHCR collects data and provides it about forced migrants and displaced people to countries who can do something about it. This is also called the UN Refugee Agency and they protect forced migrants and they work in more than 130 countries. Organizations like this are needed to keep migrants across the world safe, and make sure if they must migrate due to things like war, they are able to do safely. We can further solve this problem by addressing the root causes such as conflicts in origin countries. We can also enhance protection and assistence like creating more asylum systems and Humanitarian Aid.The total estimated 281 million people living in a country other than their countries of birth in 2020 was 128 million more than in 1990 and over three times the estimated number in 1970. (WMR)By the end of 2022, 108.4 million people were forcibly displaced worldwide as a result of persecution, conflict, violence or human rights violations.
