Both Latin and Greek come from the Indoeuropean language. The Indoeuropean is a very old language talked by the groups of migrations that came from Central Europe to the rest of Europe from 1200 BC til 700BC.

Romance languages are those that have Latin origins: Spanish, Italian, French... and very important languages spoken in Europe. Latin has had also an important paper in Christianism.

Were built into the hillside, where the cavea was located. This helped acoustics and visibility

Were built on solid ground. The tiers of seats were raised on arches and vaults. In front of them was a semi-circular orchestra and a raised stage with an architectural backdrop.

Were large spaces to recieve massages and take hot, cold or warm baths. An untherground heating system (hypocaust) that kept the water warm. Often had a courtyard (palaestra) used for boxing and wrestling. Romans also used the baths to relax and chat with their friends. Women and men went at different times.

Roman was the firt civilization to promote mass of entretainment. Chairot races were held in a circus, like the Circus Maximus in Rome. Gladiator fights were held in an amphitheatre, like the Colosseum in Rome.

Introduction
Today we are going to talk about the culture and leisure of Rome and Greece, so that when we try to understand the past we understand the future.They have also influenced us over the years by transmitting customs or habits of life, also religions or even their leisure and their way of living that is normally essential to us.
Conclusion
In conclusion, most of the ways of living of Greek and Roman people have influenced modern societies: from the way of seeing life to the ways of cleaning our streets. Greece and Rome have been and still are very present in modern societies. We hope our presentation made you notice that.

Heirs to the religious and sports celebration in honour of Zeus, which took place every four years from the 8th to the 4th century BC in the sanctuary of Olympia, in Greece.There were poetry and musical competitions, and sports events such as running, boxing, javelin throwing, discus throwing, the long jump and horse racing. The winners received an olive or laurel wreath.

The baths of Caracalla were the largest in the capital of Rome. Their huge capacity could hold up to 1500 people.
