Modules
Modules are the basic building blocks used in a Canvas course. The Module is a container that can hold several elements. Such elements contained in a Module may include: Content, Assignments, Quizzes, Discussions and many more! Modules can be organized in any fashion the Teacher would like to use. Many Teachers use a new Module for a week, unit, or topic.
Assignments
Assignments in Canvas are used to assess for Mastery and Understanding. Assignments can take shape in an endless array of types. The Teacher has the ability to create original assignments or incorporate other resources to engage learners in a meaningful way. Assignments are self contained within Canvas so they don't get lost!
