Compare and Contrast digital Essay
Estimates suggest that around 4,000 indigenous women and girls, and 600 men and boys have gone missing or been murdered between 1956 and 2016”1 The stories “beyond this world” by Erica Lee and “if I went missing” by Christina Cook both tell a story of pain, loss, and injustice. Although fictional, these stories paint a clear picture of what it would’ve been like for the families of each of those 4,000 women. Although both of these stories talked about missing and murdered indigenous women, they differed in their writers craft and the details tht made the story complete.

We just got a glimpse into 2 stories, and this is pretty close to what the families of the 4,000 women had to go through. Both stories are different and similar in many ways, only one similarity and two differences were explored in this essay. And the fact that they're different makes them even better, because if they were exactly the same then it wouldn't be interesting or worth the read. From the lack of media coverage of one story, to the difference of formatting that made both stories what they are today we see that there are limitless possibilies, making it impossible for two authors to write the exact same story. Seperate they are stories, but together they provide two perspectives and glances into what it might've been like for the families of all of those 4,000 women.
