How bias shapes scietific study
Production
Consolidation of learning, articulating current conceptual understanding and reflect on it’s use in practice.
Activity designed for the Biomedical Science (BA) Hons programme.
Learning through production is the way the teacher motivates the learner to consolidate what they have learned by articulating their current conceptual understanding and how they used it in practice.
This 2-hour strategy helps Biomedical Science students evaluate bias in scientific research and engineering projects and to develop guidelines for minimizing potential biases.
This strategy can be adapted within a variety of courses and students can work individually or in pairs. Students were asked to create a video presentation in Adobe Express.
