Follow the directions to create your game
How could you modify it so that you lose points for chasing the wrong item?

Mix it Up!
Think of content where you sort things into groups. How could you use this game as a template for reinforcing that content? Don't forget, you can share the template with your students so they can create the games!
Helpful Hint
You can use "costumes" to change the sprites based on a trigger. So if I want to have different animals, words, numnbers, I can have those as costumes for the sprite. Check out this place value game to see costume changes in action! Click the "See Inside" button to explore how the game was created. Also, you can share, remix, and reuse individual parts of a project using the backpack.

Scratch without and account
You can still use Scratch, even if your district doesn't allow student logins. Students can download and upload their projects from their Google/One Drives as needed.
Scratch Classes
Scratch Studios
Create Scratch classes to help organize your students. Each student login can only be in one class and you cannot add co-teachers to a class
Think of Studios as assignmentsStudents will need to share their project to the studio for you to see it. You can also use a studio to put in an example project that students can "remix" for their project
Student Accounts
Teacher Created Individual Accounts
- To create logins en masse, I recommend using my login generator. Just copy and paste your roster into the columns and create a "class tag" to individualize the username.
- Import Template- Download as CSV
- Tell students not to change the password.
Teacher Created Group Accounts (shared device, one login per group)
- Can upload with CSV or individually
- Accounts can be reused by different groups if needed
- Example: SowaBlue; SowaRed; LeedsBlue; LeedsRed
Students Create Accounts (Use with Caution)
- Scratch generates a link to share with your students
- Students create their own account. Student accounts can only be in one class so they can't use this account for another class.***
