CANADA
Landmarks
July 1, 1867, is a date that marks the independence of Canada from Great Britain. With the adoption of the British North America Act, the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario were united, creating the second largest country in the world.
WEATHER
Canada is the second largest country in the world, so it has varied climates. Northern Canada is extremely cold, with summers lasting less than two months. But almost all Canadians live near the country's southern border, where the climate is warmer. For the same day there can be big differences in the weather in different parts of the country.
