The term of constructionism, also knows as constructivism, has not only acquired different meanings over time, but also been used in different fields.Today we are going to talk about constructionism as a theory of learning, that sustains that:
Learners, instead of passively take in information, construct the knowledge based on their own experience. Learning is not something that has to be imposed on the learner, but something that he/she has to do by himself/herself.

STEP - BY - STEP
In this activity, students of 5th and 6th grade will be using LEGO Mindstorms to resolve different problems in a created field. The classes must follow a list of steps, in order not only to solve these kind of fields, but also to learn basic programming and mechanics.

PRESENTATION & GROUPS
- Teachers will present the project to the students, and will explain the process to them.
- Group of 4 children will be created. In order to do so, they will mix students from 5th grade and from 6th grade. The teams must contain a similar number of boys and girls, in order to break stereotypes.

ACTION CARDS
In order to understand how blog's programming work, students will play this game. A student will be the robot, and he will be moving his arms and body as his teammates decide. To order a move, the othe member of the team will use the cards. There are 8 types:
- Move the arms up
- Repeat
- 1 step foward
- Wait 1 second
- Move the arms down
- 1 step back
- Turn to your left 90º
- Turn to your right 90º

CONSTRUCTION OF THE ROBOT
In groups, students will build the basic robot, with the help of the instructions, found in the LEGO material box. Each member of the group will have a role, that will change every 5 minutes:

BASES OF PROGRAMMING
Teachers will explain the students who to program the basic robot movements with Mindstorms EV3 software.

RESOLUTIONS OF THE FIELDS
With their program knowledge, students will try to program their robot to do the action needed to solve the field problem.

EX: YOUR ROBOT IS A FIRE TRUCK. WITH THE HELP OF ITS ARMS, BRING THE WATER CONTAINERS (BLUE CUBES) TO THE FIRE, IN ORDER TO SAVE THE TREES (GREEN TOILET PAPER ROLL).
