Why is him important for his country?
Why did I choose him?
Federer is so important to Switzerland. There, there aren't lots of widely recognised athletes, so he could take the swiss country to the whole world.
I chose Roger because, apart from being good at tennis, he has civic values that we should all learn from. His behaviour playing tennis and the contributions to foundations has made him very cherished by the public.

Why did I choose her?
Yulimar is very important to Venezuela so having such a athlete representing Venezuela in every competition she goes is a point of pride.
I chose her because I think she is an example of overcoming. It's extremely difficult to be in the best position of the world for long time in a row, as well as, to own any world record.
