Use to express:

Information questions.
  • What: used to ask about situation/condition of a person/animal/thing.
  • Who: used to ask for the identity of a person in the subject.
  • Whom: used to ask for the identity of a person in the predicate.
  • Why: used to ask for a reason.
  • Wich: used to ask for a desicion based on at least 2 options.
  • What kind of/ type of: used to ask for especific element from a larger group.
  • Whose: used to ask for owner of something.
  • Where: used to ask for a location or place.
  • When: used to ask for date/hour.
  • How often: used to ask for the frequency of an event.
  • How much: used to ask about an amout (quantity) noun countable.
  • How manny: used to ask about an quantity (countable).
  • How: used to ask about the way/manner ab event ocurred.
  • What time: used to ask about the time.

Spefications.

  • When we use who and what in the subject, and to be is in plural (are), it changes to singular (is).
  • When we use whose, what kind of/ type of, how many, what time, how much and how often, we must immediately specify what we are talking about.

The present tense used to express a fact.

  • Fact: information we belive is true.
When the verb has an ending -s or -es it is because we are speaking in the third person (he,she,it). And when it is not like that it is because we are speaking in plural (we,you,they).
  • Do is used with pronuons: i,you,we,you,they.
  • Does is sued with pronuons: he,shi,it.

Considerations.

  • The auxiliaries are not used if we have the subject in the sentence.
  • When we refer to the subject, we think in the third person.
  • Do/Does used in the predicate, not in the subject.
  • When we used the subject, use auxiliary.
  • Termination in -es and -s we used Does.
  • Termination in simple form we used Do.
