The Megabar Experience

You have probably already been to the bar at the hotel you were staying at. But has the hotel's bar ever come to your room? Our talented bartenders offer our guests booking Premium Suites (from Screening onward) the unique experience of the Megabar, a mobile bar they wheel into the room. Once opened, the music is on, the mirror ball is rotating, and the bartender crafts the pre-ordered cocktails in front of the guests. Completely anchored into the W culture, the Megabar experience is playful, original, ignites curiosity and allows our guests and Talents to connect in a brand new way.

Welcome Desk Talents

Our beloved Welcome Desk team is the heart of the hotel. Our main mission? Connecting with guests and providing a unique experience for them while staying in the W spirit. How do we do that? We're curious, we talk to the guests while they're checking in, we assist them with every request, we take ownership of what they trust us with, and we come up with inspiring Whatever/Whenever moments to make sure they keep unforgettable memories of their stay.

That room is a B&F storage.

Why is there no room?

This storage is located right above the bar. As the Mirror ball in Revolve is too big, we could not build a room on top of it. It also gets extremely noisy on days where our DJs play their sets, more especially on Fridays and Saturdays. This room is almost never used by the Welcome Desk.

Beware!

Wonderful Rooms

Although the 4th and 5th floors are sold as Spectacular Rooms to the guests, there is a total of 8 Wonderful Rooms on the fourth floor, including two Wonderful Twin Rooms.List of Wonderful Rooms on the 4th floor: 408, 409, 410, 412, 412 (Twin), 415, 416, 417 (Twin)

The Megabar

For all of our Premium Suites bookers (from Screening Suite and onward), W London offers a unique in-room experience: The Megabar!Find out more about what it is about by clicking the picture below!

The Burger and Lobster restaurant shares the ground floor with us. The entrance is at the corner of Lisle Street and Wardour Street. It is an upscale restaurant mixing seafood and... burgers, as its name indicates.Contrarily to popular belief, it is not part of the hotel as our only restaurant is located on the first floor. Some of our guests opt in for a dinner there as it is conveniently located. We can book them in, but the restaurant accepts walk-ins.

Leicester Street is one of the two back streets of the hotel, which also means it is one of the quietest ones. The main noisy activity coming from it is the delivery of goods and supplies early in the morning. It is where our staff entrance is located and where you should always walk in and out of the building as Talents are not allowed to use the main entrance. You will find an entrance to the Empire Casino, a pub, a Chinese restaurant and a grill along the street, as well as Greggs in the corner.

Leicester Street

The M&M's store is a major attraction and shop, often attracting hundreds of shoppers a day as there are only a few in the world. It is the only one existing in the UK, and one out of the two stores in Europe as the other one opened in Berlin. The hotel shares a white column with the store, which goes all the way up into the bar and rooms. M&M's employees share a bit of our Loading bay as they own the middle lift, which you must never take. They also get access to a door leading to their own back of house.

M&M's Store

Our Interconnecting rooms all end in -02 (King) and -03 (Twin). The only interconnecting suite is 717, which has a direct door onto 719. They are usually never confirmed to the guests before their arrival due to a very low availability. Please note that our interconnecting rooms options link a Twin Room to a King Room ONLY. There are no interconnecting Kings or Twins between themselves.

Interconnecting Rooms

It is also where decisions are made; and for that, our Welcome Office is a nest of Talents, starting by our incredible managing team! The graphic on the left hand side shows who is who, what their position is and how the hierarchy works.

Back Office : Management

The back office is where our department comes to life! The Whatever/Whenever department is located here: it is where we take phone calls, answer emails, chats, and monitor GXP as well as daily tasks. It is also where some daily amenities and products are stored. You will also find Safety boxes for guests and office supplies.

Swiss Court separates the hotel and M&M's Store from the Lego Store. The glockenspiel in the middle rings every hour in the evening, displaying traditional Swiss characters and animals. This and the Swiss coats of arms still proudly standing next to the road are the only remainders of the Swiss Center, which was the previous building standing at the location of the hotel. It is often a crowded area due to the touristic activity, explained by both the Lego and M&M's stores, the presence of street artists and closeness to Leicester Square.

Swiss Court

Clocking In/Out + Master Key

Upon entering the building, the first thing you must remember to do is to clock in and out as this determines your worked hours. No clock in, no payin'!Next to it, you will find the Master Key box. Use your finger print to unlock it, choose the key you want to use throughout the day and click on the screen, then collect the key and close it. You are responsible of your Master Key all along the day: do not give it out and make sure to drop the one you took!

Screening Room

The Screening Room is the theatre of various events and happenings in the hotel.First and foremost, it can be rented out by the guests on demand. In the event of a guest asking you for the possibility to rent it, please ensure that you contact our Events Team in order to confirm its availability and rate. The Screening Room hosts events for companies and groups that need a projection. It is also home to the W Film Club, launched and animated by the Marketing team. Oftentimes in partnership with Dartmouth films, the W Film Club invites in-house and external guests to a special projection of a movie of their choice revolving around our passion points and values, and what we stand for. The guests then have the occasion to meet and exchange with the movie teams (producers, directors, actors, etc.)Lastly, we as Talents use the Screening Room as a place to hold meetings, such as the Departmental Meeting and the Talent Rally, and a few trainings (Welcome to W, Fire training, etc.)

Our guests at W London are called the Connectors, in accordance to the W Brand worldwide. They love to connect with each other around happenings. They are curious, charismatic, magnetic and free-spirited.A lot of our guests are already Marriott Bonvoy members, which means that they signed up to our Free Loyalty Programme.Find out more about Marriott Bonvoy.Find out more about the different levels of membership by Marriott Bonvoy.

W London Guests

This is the home of our amazing Ambassadors Team. But what is an Ambassador at W London? Our Ambassadors help the guests with various tasks and requests; luggage assistance, taxi bookings, directions, general questions about the hotel and location, etc. They are usually the first person our guests meet when they enter the hotel,so their role is crucial. The graphic on the left hand-side shows who is who and what their position is.
