The AI is in a continue avanzing and writers of movies are already scared of this. I think in the future the AI will write the scripts of the movies. Then the AI will do the performance with only needing the faces of the actors and actreses. And in a very very long future the companies won´t do the movies instead, you´ll go to the cinema and put in a little tablet the plot of the movie you want to see and in 2 seconds the AI will generate you the movie and you´ll see it in the big screen of the cinema.
With robots
I think if in the future we create very realisic and similar to humans robots the will do the scenes of the action dobles to don´t put humans in danger. They won´t play the main actors papers because they won´t have feeling and, if you don´t have feelings you can´t express them in a credibly way, but they will be able to do the robots and non-humans roles.
Animals
Another posibility in the future is that the animals can evolute being as smart as us. They could end with the animated movies of animals doing literally live actions. They could be very useful for fantasy and mythology movies too. They could open a whole world of new posibilitys of movies.
