From fire to renewable energies

PREHISTORY
S XIX - XX
MIDDLE AGES
THE FIRE
The fire was discovered about 1.4 millions of years ago around Kenia, África by Homo Erectus . The discovery of fire allowed early humans to cook food, stay warm, and protect themselves from predators. El descubrimiento del fuego, permitió a los primeros humanos cocinar alimentos, mantenerse calientes y protegerse de los depredadores
MIDDLE AGES
The use of waterwheels and windmills became common during the Middle Ages, allowing people to grind grain, saw wood, and pump water. El uso de ruedas hidráulicas y molinos de viento se volvió común durante la Edad Media, lo que permitió a la gente moler granos, aserrar madera y bombear agua
ELECTRIC ENERGY
Electric energy was discovered in the 18th century. One of the most important milestones in the discovery of electricity was the invention of the first electric battery by Alessandro Volta in 1800. This discovery laid the foundation for the development of electrical and electronic technology used today.

S.XIX - XX
The Industrial Revolution took place in the late 18th century. During the Industrial Revolution there was a demand of coal and oil as primary sources of energy. These fossil fuels provided a cheap source of energy but also caused pollution and climate change.
In the 19th century Nuclear Energy were discovered and later, Marie Curie discovered radioactivity. These technologies were used in the 20th century during the Cold War between the US and the USSR.( sovietic union)
RENEWABLE ENERGIES
Because of pollution , climate change and the lack of fossil fuels, resources are directing efforts towards the production of renewable energy (solar, wind or biomass, etc.)
