Mexico is located at about 23° N and 102° W in the southern portion of North America. From its farthest land points, Mexico is a little over 3,200 km in length.
Form of government
Unlike Britain, Mexico is a Federal Republic, and therefore it has no King or Queen. Instead, the Constitution states that the power to rule Mexico is divided between three branches. These are the Presidency, the Congress and the Courts.
Current president
The current president is Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who took office on 1 December 2018.

With a population of almost 130 million, it is the 10th-most-populous country

Mexico is a land of extremes, with high mountains and deep canyons in the center of the country, sweeping deserts in the north, and dense rain forests in the south and east. Mountains cover much of Mexico.Mexico is known for its ancient ruins and dazzling beaches

Mexico has pronounced wet and dry seasons. Most of the country experiences a rainy season from June to mid-October and significantly less rain during the remainder of the year. February and July generally are the driest and wettest months, respectively.The northern and central parts of the country are very arid, and semi-arid.

Mexico is among the world's largest producers of oil, silver, copper, gold, lead, zinc, natural gas and wood. Other minerals, such as mercury, cadmium, antimony, manganese, iron and coal are also found. Mexico borders the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico.
According to the 2020 Mexican government census (the most recent), approximately 78 percent of the population identifies as Roman Catholic
