In this work we will talk about the climate change that affects our planet and the life that is on it

What is climate change

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. Burning fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun’s heat and raising temperatures. The main greenhouse gases that are causing climate change include carbon dioxide and methane.

Causes of climate change

The main cause of climate change is the greenhouse effect. Some gases present in the Earth's atmosphere function like, the glass walls of a greenhouse, retaining the sun's heat and preventing it from escaping into space, which contributes to the warming o the planet.

Possible solution of change climate

There are several ways to combat climate change , such as: Turn off appliances and lamps that are not being used. Give preference to the use of clean and renewaable energy sources, such as solar energy, wind energy and biomass. Reduce consumption of fossil fuels and their derivatives such as oil and gasoline. Try to leave your car at home.

Consequences of climate change

The main consequences of climate change are a decrease in water availability and crop yields , an increase in the risk of droughts and a reduction in biodiversity, forest fires and heat waves.
