He also founded StayVerde, a sustainable travel software company that uses AI to automate measurement and reduction of CO2 emissions from travel.

Lebawit Lily Girma is an award-winning Ethiopian American travel journalist and author with more than 15 years covering sustainable tourism. She currently reports full-time on travel for Bloomberg News. Her work has also appeared in Bloomberg Businessweek, BBC Travel, Skift, Condé Nast Traveler, CNN, Travel + Leisure, and Sierra.

He is the Chair of the Explore Foundation travel charity, shares his experiences at Surrey University and is happiest on foot in the hills.
