Masculinizing surgeries
Chest masculinization
According to breast size, there are different surgical approaches for chest reconstruction. The first type is minimally invasive liposuction mastectomy, suitable for transgender men with smaller breasts. An incision is made under the areola to remove the breast tissue, followed by the removal of excess fat through liposuction, and then the incision is sutured.
Minimally Invasive Liposuction Mastectomy
Chest masculinization
The donut-shaped mastectomy combines techniques of liposuction, breast tissue removal, and facelift surgery. It involves creating two concentric circular incisions around the areola and its periphery, allowing for the complete removal of breast tissue and fat. Subsequent minor skin lifting and suturing can remove excess skin around the areola, reduce its size, and also achieve a breast lift effect.
Donut-shaped Mastectomy
Chest masculinization
The straight-line mastectomy involves a complete removal of the breast and nipple-areola grafting. The entire breast is transected horizontally, and then the upper and lower incisions are sutured together into a straight-line scar. This procedure allows for the chest to be flattened in one session. Additionally, the nipple and areola, resized to suit the body's proportions, are transplanted to an appropriate height and position. This method is suitable for patients with a D cup size or larger and those with breast ptosis.
Straight-line Mastectomy
Metoidioplasty
Phalloplasty involves using skin flaps, which are areas of skin moved from one area of body to another. The skin flap is then reshaped, contoured and reattached to the groin to create the penis. However, the artificial penis is usually whiter and smoother in color and shape, and cannot achieve complete similarity.
Feminizing surgery
Vaginal construction (vaginoplasty)
Vaginal construction (vaginoplasty): This surgical procedure is a multistage process during which surgeons may remove the penis (penectomy) and the testes (orchiectomy), if still present, and use tissues from the penis to construct the vagina, the clitoris (clitoroplasty) and the labia (labiaplasty).
