Capital city

The capital city of Ireland is Dublin, the hole country counts with 5,127 million inhabitants, and only the country is estimated witk 1,284 inhabitants

The emblem

The national emblem is recognised as the arp and the shamrock.

The Shamrock is the clover (trebol), with 3 sheets that was used by Saint Patrick for illustrate the Trinity during the Christinatation in the V century. Starting the XVIII was adoptated as the simbol of the Irish nationalism.

And the arp is only a music instrument.

The flag

The orange side makes reference for the british anglo-saxons in Ireland, and the green side represents celts gaels irish catholic natives of the country. The white side in the middle represents the peace that will come between them.

The Patron Saint

The Patron Saint of Ireland was Saint Patrick

The 17 March is the day of Saint Patrick it's celebrated with food, parades, drinks, Irish traditions, a lot of things of green things and with obviously beer. It doesn't matter if it's dark or blonde.

The battle of the Boyne is commemorated every year on the 12th of July by Protestants who march to celebrate the victory of Protestant King Billy over the Catholics and is known simply as 'The Twelfth'

The famous Irish saying 'To hell or to Connaught' is a result of Oliver Cromwell's plans for the Irish according to the Act of Settlement 1653 where the Irish people were forced to their lands which were then given to the English. The people had to choice to die or move to Connaught.

Irish legend credits St Patrick with the Celtic Cross. It is believed he combined the pagan sun god (the circle) with a traditional Christian cross to create a Celtic cross.
