What is Void?

Void - Cancelling the ticket and reversing the charge prior to the payment being processed: Customers will not see a credit posted to their bank account. We process the void while the transaction is pending to be posted through the nancial institution of the customer. The pending transaction will drop o of the customer’s account.The ticket is no longer valid.

Exceptions:

ARC applies extensions for US holidays - Refer to https://www2.arccorp.com/support training/holidayschedule/ For split US payments, use void command twice. First, void the ticket, then void the MCO or EMD.

Rules of Ticketless Airlines

The departure date is over 7 days from the moment of purchase Void is valid but ticketless rules apply (within 24 hours from the purchase).

If less than 7 days before departure Void is not possible but thebalance can be used as RTC minus penalty.

Void Rules Categories

Three main categories of void rules: 1.Oice IDs - Regulated either by BSP (all oices except for US) or ARC (US oices): a.Booking made in CA OID or UK OID - regulated by BSP b.Booking made in US OIDs - regulated by ARC 2.Non-GDS content providers - Impose their rules that override Oice ID rules 3.Ticketless airlines - Impose their rules that override Oice ID rules

If the transaction is issued on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, it must bevoided by 11:59 PM local time on the following Monday

BSP Specic Rules

Let’s review general void rules for the CA and UKOce IDs which are regulated by the BSP body:

• A void can be performed within the same day when the ticket is issued up to midnight.

• However, on the second day of the purchase, up to 24 hours from booking time, some airlines allow the following: Full refund without application of fare rules for the following airlines - Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta, Porter, Air Transat, United Airlines, WestJet.

Void action must be performed by 11:59 PM the same day the ticket was issued.
