Food Truck- "Simply Delicieux"
By: Scarlett Moore
History
- All items on the menu have French
- roots (croissant, crêpes,etc.)
- Some of the flavors have american roots rather than French
- Crêpes, originating in the 13th century for France weren't brought to the United States until around the 1900s
- Pronounced as "crep" rather than the Americanized version "krayp"
Why I'd Like to Open It
II would like to open this foodtruck because there are very few places where you can get authentic French food from. Especially around Overland Park, if you want a crêpe, you have to drive either downtown or to Oak Park, which is a hassle. Opening this food truck would make French food more accessible, and for a not very expensive price.
Why I Chose This Type
I chose this type of food truck because French has been a part of my life for a while as I've been taking it since 6th grade and am current treasurer of NFHS. Subsequently, I've grown to appreciate the culture and thus cuisine.
The Truck Itself
- A simplistic design that leaves little for the customer to be confused about
- The meny would be posted underneath the window
- The truck would play quiet French music for a better ambience
- Food is ordered to be made, so everything is fresh
