Who is Famous Tate

Since 1954, Famous Tate has been serving the Tampa Bay area with great deals on appliances and, more recently, bedding. Famous Tate services Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Polk, and Citrus counties, and employs over 200 local, hard-working people dedicated to efficient business and customer satisfaction.

Famous Tate is a Full Value Dealer. While we acknowledge that their product lineup includes bedding, please be advised that our coverage is exclusively focused on the appliances.

The Extended Warranty covers Mechanical & Electrical Failures on functional parts after the Manufacturer's coverage period expires.

Famous Tate only sells Repair Plans for 2, 3 or 5 Years.

What are our benefits

  • No Lemon Benefit: If the same failure occurs 4 times on the same part, the product may apply for a replacement or Store Credit.
  • Power Surge: Begins on day 1, If the customer experienced a power surge we can cover it, the customer just needs to provide Proof of Power surge.
  • Food Loss Benefit: The customer received a reimbursement of $250 per calendar year for any food spillage that occurs during the contract term.
  • Commercial Use: Coverage of products used commercially as long as a commercial plan is purchased.

Major Component Only

Major Component Only is a specific plan option available that the customer can purchase. With this plan, our extended warranty covers only the major component parts of the product. In other words, labor costs are not included in the coverage for the customer.

Major Component Only

Customers have the option to acquire this Coverage either as an add-on to an existing plan or as a standalone plan. Although the original contract may show expired, the customer may still have Major Component coverage.

The Major Component Only Plan has a duration of 10 years

Diagnosis

Claims department will review the diagnosis and if Major Component Parts are needed, Claims will order the parts and ship them to the customer's home.Once the parts arrive, customer will have to call the service center to install the parts

Resolution

For this type of contracts we will not set dispatch, instead we will ask the customer to contact a local service center to obtain a diagnosis, customer will then have to send the diagnosis to claims@centricity.com

Payment to SVC

Customer will have to cover the payment for the diagnosis fee, trip and labor as well as any parts needed that are not under the Major Component list.
