01. Pollution
02. Endangered species
03. sustainable measures
Pollution
Pollution is the excessive use of substances that are harmful to the environment. They affect human health, fauna, flora and ecosystems. There are three main types of pollution:
Air pollution
Water pollution
Soil pollution
Consequences of pollution
Consequences include disease, biodiversity loss and climate change. For humans, exposure to polluted environments can lead to very serious illnesses. Ecosystems also suffer, with the loss of biodiversity and the destruction of natural habitats.
Endagered species
sustainable measures
Protecting the environment is essential to guarantee the sustainability of the planet and the quality of life of future generations. Some sustainable measures can be:
- use of renewable energy
- save water
- recycle
- preserve habitats
- use electric or public vehicles
- practice a circular economy
- reduce waste
Every action, no matter how small, contributes to the preservation of the environment and a better future for the planet, we just have to collaborate and improve our habits
Finish!
Air pollution
caused by harmful gases and particles from sources such as fossil fuels, industries and vehicles, leading to respiratory problems and climate change.
Water pollution
resulting from industrial waste, sewage and agricultural chemicals, contaminating drinking water and harming aquatic organisms.
monk seal
Several decades ago, this animal's habitat was the Black Sea, but it has not been seen in the wild for 50 years. The entire population is believed to have been decimated due to illegal hunting and environmental pollution.
Iberian Lynx
is a species of feline endemic to the Iberian Peninsula, being considered one of the most threatened in the world. The main causes of their disappearance are illegal hunting and the destruction of their habitat
sea mink
was a species of semi-aquatic mammal that inhabited the coastal region of northeastern North America. This animal is currently extinct, with the last evidence of its existence dating from the late 19th century. The mink was driven to extinction due to several factors, the most significant being intensive hunting and the destruction of its habitat
tasmanian tiger
was a carnivorous marsupial native to Australia, Tasmania and New Guinea. This unique animal is one of the best-known species to have been driven to extinction in the 20th century. Intense hunting and loss of habitat due to deforestation were two of the reasons for its extinction
Soil pollution
Soil pollution results from the deposition of chemicals and solid waste in the soil. The main pollutants include pesticides, heavy metals, household waste and industrial waste.
small blue macaw
The species is endemic to South America and, unfortunately, is considered extinct in the wild, with little evidence of its existence since the 19th century. The little blue macaw is a powerful reminder of the impacts of human activity on wildlife and the importance of conservation
