I want to be a psychologist, what did that mean? in money and time First of all, to become a psychologist you need a degree in Psychology. It's just that the 3 years of college aren't enough; you also need a master's degree in the field. Only then, in theory, are you allowed to practice. After successfully completing these five years of studies, you can enroll in the College of Psychologists. It is an entity that does not belong to the Romanian State and that has a series of rules by which it regulates the profession of psychologist. The completed master's degree gives you training in a specific field of psychology. Some offer specialization in several fields. You can do a master's degree in work psychology and organizational psychology. With it you will be able to work in those areas and only those areas. With a master's degree in clinical psychology you will be able to work in the clinical field and use tests: in hospitals, in private practice, in clinics. With a master's degree in psychotherapy you will also be able to do therapy with people.
