Independent/Collaborative Activities
Tips:
- Choice Board activities should not be new material but rather spiraled in reinforcement material
- These should be a variety of activities and changed out daily, or weekly.
- Do not use the same activities or even the same applications each week. Student engagement and classroom management will become an issue.
Every activity comes with an exit ticket.
Ensures engagement and limits distractions.
Exit tickets are an essential part of the independent/collaborative work process. Without accountability student engagement is drastically reduced.
Independent Video Instruction
Student Paced Instructional video
Provides students with the independence to be able to refer to the instructions and examples as many times as needed to complete the activity
- Can be scaffolded depending on students needs.
