Hinge Mechanism

Hinges are to be placed at the top of the curved structure, allowing it to open up along with the camera rail for easy installation. The hinge mechanism simplifies the installation process, allowing homeowners to screw the barrier directly to the house. Once the hinges are closed, a slide-in containing a sticky, eco-friendly adhesive can be easily inserted for termite capture.

Sector-Based Monitoring

To ensure precise location tracking and effective termite management, the perimeter is divided into identifiable sectors. Real-Time Alerts: When termites are detected within a sector, the system promptly notifies the homeowner through a dedicated application, specifying the exact location of the activity. Interactive App: The application is intuitive, offering the homeowner immediate access to live camera feeds and the ability to manage alerts and system settings with ease.

Sloped Design at Base for Easy Access

At the base of the tape, where it meets the house wall, there is a gently sloped ramp. This incline facilitates termite access, leading them up into the sticky inner curve where they become trapped. The slope also has traction to aid the termites in climbing.

Slide-In Shell

As part of the adhesive slide-in is a shell with ridges for easy attachment/removal from the tape, thus making the process of inspection or replacement straightforward.

Environmental Consideration

Sustainability is a key aspect of the design, with eco-friendliness being paramount throughout the system's components. Non-toxic Adhesive: The adhesive used is not toxic and safe for non-target wildlife, ensuring the system's operation doesn’t harm the environment. Recyclability: Components, such as the shell in the slide-ins, could be made from recyclable materials.

Curved Tape Structure

The core of the invention is a curved, firm/rigid tape-like structure designed to wrap around the perimeter of a household. This structure will be affixed to the exterior wall of the house, just above where the concrete foundation ends, effectively serving as a termite barrier. Material: Made from durable, weather-resistant material that can withstand various environmental conditions.

Adhesive Slide-In

Inside the curve is a slide-in containing a sticky, non-toxic substance. This slide-in can be replaced as needed, allowing for hassle-free maintenance and continuous termite capture.

Integrated Camera System

Mounting: Cameras on a rail system at the curved tape's tip. Blueprint: Starting at Position 1, cameras move along the rail to capture and store a blueprint of the house in the cloud, pinpointing termite entry points for homeowners. Visibility: Cameras are angled to optimally view the adhesive surface inside the tape's curve, enhancing AI detection capabilities. AI Recognition: Equipped with high-definition cameras and AI software, the system identifies termites by shape, behavior, and other traits. Alert System: The system alerts homeowners via an app about detected termite activity, allowing them to review footage and confirm presence.

Sloped Roof Design

A sloped design at the top of the tape structure prevents rainfall from entering any crevices, thus protecting the integrity of the installation. The slope extends midway down the curve, directing rainwater and debris away from the tape, thereby minimizing maintenance and potential blockages.
