PEDESTRIANS FIRST!

Designated walkways are there for a reason, but sometimes, people might need to cut across them. Be a heads-up operator and always give pedestrians the right of way.

SLOW & STEADY WINS THE RACE

Especially when entering or leaving aisles, take it slow. This helps you avoid any unexpected bumps or surprises that could lead to an accident.

EYES ON THE PRIZE (OR RATHER, THE PATH)

Distractions happen, but while operating a forklift, keep your focus on where you’re heading. This way, you’ll spot any potential hazards coming your way and have time to react safely.

MAKE SOME NOISE!

Let everyone know you’re coming! Give a honk whenever you come to intersections, crosswalks or exit aisles. When people hear you coming, they can avoid being in your way.

KEEP YOUR SPACE

A little extra space goes a long way! Maintain a safe distance between yourself and pedestrians. This makes everyone feel more comfortable and allows everyone to do their jobs safely.
