  • An inventor from our region
  • Born in Križevci (10 km from St. Petar Orehovec) on February 12, 1894.
  • He applied for the first gyro-compass patent as a 16-year-old in 1910.
  • Gyro-compass is used for ship navigation
  • He is best known for the invention of dynamos (1912) for lighting all types of cars
  • His dynamo could also be powered by wind power
  • He also patented a power switch for X-ray machines (1912)
  • Together with Heinrich Weiland and a small transformer for low voltage
  • Unfortunately, he died very young
  • He died during the First World War
  • He was killed in Poland on August 13, 1915 near Stasin
