- An inventor from our region
- Born in Križevci (10 km from St. Petar Orehovec) on February 12, 1894.
- He applied for the first gyro-compass patent as a 16-year-old in 1910.
- Gyro-compass is used for ship navigation
- He is best known for the invention of dynamos (1912) for lighting all types of cars
- His dynamo could also be powered by wind power
- He also patented a power switch for X-ray machines (1912)
- Together with Heinrich Weiland and a small transformer for low voltage
- Unfortunately, he died very young
- He died during the First World War
- He was killed in Poland on August 13, 1915 near Stasin
