Directions Word Bag may be used in two ways. Show the base in the middle of the box by clicking on the word "Solution." Tell students we will be drawing words from our word bag to see if they match the base in the box. Click on the icon on the word bag to reveal each word. Check students know the meaning. Then, place the word inside or outside of the "matrix." In the second version, do not reveal the base. Draw words from the word bag one by one. Stop every 3-4 words and ask students their hypothesis of the base for the family. Gradually release responsibility to the student to determine if the next word should go inside the box or not.
