How American Indians lost their land

Nowadays, the native americans only have about 2% of the lands their ancestors previously occupied before the american colonisation. So a lot of discrimination persists.

A law, nammed "the third Northwest Ordinance, decree by the US government affirm that the native Americans shall never be mistreated and violated in their proprieties.

A new decree, "The Indian Appropriation Act" change once more the Indians' status. This time they were considered as an independent nation who have the right to possesse lands like reservations.

However, the Indians' right of property was attacked and diminished because of "the Dawes Act" who made the US government as the owner to the reservations. So it gives a lot of them at the American without respect for the Indians.

It's the beginning of the Indians' mistreatment. They had to leave their lands because of a new law, the "Indian Removal Act", but most of all because of the President Andrew Jackson.
