Let's work on your pronunciation!

And now, some grammar!

Let's work on your pronunciation!

Watch this video titled "The Candidate". What kind of bingo are the two recruiters playing? Can you find all the mistakes?

Les deux recruteurs font une partie de bingo pour voir si le candidat va oublier de prononcer : => ses -s (-s du pluriel et -s de la P3 du singulier) : two candidate (candidates) / three year (years) / human resource (resources) / it make many thing (makes things) / hair pin (pins) / hair cream (creams) / hair brush (hair brushes) / know what he want (knows wants) / appreciate his employee (appreciates, employees) = 12 mistakes => ses h en début de mot : 'ello (Hello) / 'ave (have) / 'uman (human) / 'air (hair) x3 / 'appiness (happiness) x3 / 'e (he) x3 / 'is (his) = 13 mistakes (Bingo!)

Practice reading the paragraphs on your worksheet for your partner. Your partner will point out any mistakes you make. Try to pay attention to whether your -s should sound as in "see" [ s ] or as in "zoo". [ z ] => Then, switch roles!

Text 2: [ s ] sounds = tents / books / flashlights [ z ] sounds =years / sounds / sides + Remember to pronounce the [ h ] in happened / heard / had / hungry(mais pas dans honest, c'est l'une des rares exceptions à la règle !)

Now please refer to your worksheet for the pronunciation of vowels, diphthongs and consonants to practice! You will find the answers to the dictations in this presentation:
