Introduction
What is AP and Proctor Requirements?
The AP Program offers college-level courses and exams that you can take in high school.
College Board
Proctor ELGIBILITY
The proctor must meet all of the following:
- Proctors may not be a high school student, must be a responsible adult.
- Proctors may be educational professionals - AP coordinator; active, retired, or substitute teachers; parewnts without a conflict of interest; or members of the administrative staff.
- Current, former, or retired teachers including AP teachers in a subject area other than what they have taught or teaching.
- Individual may not proctor an AP exam or handle materials for the exam in which a household or immediate family member is taking.
- Proctor may not take any AP Exam or review content of any exam in any manner.
- Proctors may not be employed part or full time at a test preparation company.
Setting The Tone
Be attentive to the class of exam takers
Must not read, eat, drink, engage in conversation, grade papers, or perform any activity related to the administration
Make your presence known throughout the administration by actively monitoring
Not share exam content or student responses to anyone except the students as they take their exam
Be organized, Friendly, and Non-discriminatory
Must Not share any multiple-choice content or unreleased free-response content with anyone

AP Exam documents
- Arrive to testing room (Main Office - Room C122) from 7:30am - 8:00am.
- Familiarize yourself with the AP Exam Administration and Security procedures provided.
- Read your specific exam instructions from the booklet.
- Ensure proper testing environment when you enter the room or space
- Review all possible irregularities
- Ensure all materials are correct for test being proctored.
- Make sure you dress in layers, some areas are cold
Before Testing Duties
Proctor Duties: During the Exam
Entry into the room, Distribute proper materials, and Maintain a secure testing environment
eNTRY iNTO tHE rOOM
- Assign students randomely to their seats (Ex: You may use numbered sticky notes) - Pick up all electronic devices and have students sign the policy before starting - Remind students to place all items to the front or back of the room - No eating or drinking in the testing room except for break time - Make sure clock is visible to students

After Testing Duties
Time to collect items and submit to the Testing Coordinator
IT's Over, Now What?
The next steps are:
- Make sure all materials have been picked up
- Organize everything into alphabetical order
- Check the Answer Sheets to make sure the start time, students signature, and labels are on the sheet
- Check the test booklets for completed information on the front cover pages
- Do not return Cell phones until all items have been picked up
- After submitting the bin to the coordinator, you will wait for final checking of info.

- ALL seats faxcing the front - Students are randomly seated - Clock or watch available to time test - Use Whiteboard for start and stop times.
