Preparing for a career conversation allows you to clearly articulate your career goals, accomplishments, and the support you need to achieve your aspirations. It shows your manager that you are serious about development and ready to take proactive steps towards growth. This preparation sets the stage for a constructive and empowering dialogue that can significantly impact your career satisfaction.

Ensure you have dedicated time scheduled for this conversation.

Reflect on your achievements, current responsibilities, and areas where you feel you can contribute more.

Have clear ideas about the skills you want to develop and how they align with Circana's OGSP.

Preparation is essential for a successful career conversation. When you take the time to understand your team member's career goals, achievements, and areas for growth, you can offer more meaningful guidance and support. By coming prepared, you ensure that the discussion is focused, productive, and aligned with both their aspirations and Circana’s OGSP.

Familiarize yourself with the team member content of this guide and set expectations for the conversation with your team.

Consider recent actions/behaviors and plan discussion/feedback.

Plan focused, uninterrupted time for the conversation.
