This chart shows how many farms in this county shrunk over the last ten years as a result of African Americans using their newfound freedom to move to cities.

This chart shows that Bexar County was not a traditional "planter" society compared to the rest of the South since only two farmers in the entire county met that standard meaning most slaves did not work on farms.
