Level 5 Qualification with Accredited and Non-Accredited Pathways

This course focuses on the development of your individual ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team, exploring operational leadership as well as improving day-to-day people and process management. The course will allow you to benchmark your leadership skills and raise your profile within the organisation. The ILM level 5 certificate is aimed at those with leadership experience and for those looking to take their next career step, by giving you the opportunity to assess and improve your leadership approach in an innovative healthcare environment.

The Operational Leaders programme comprises of a 2-day workshop delivered either in a face-to-face setting or via Microsoft Teams. Within this workshop, learners will be given the opportunity to study the core materials of the programme as well as discuss key leadership and management concepts with their peers from across the CHG network. eLearning will support the materials studied within the programme, and learners will be required to complete some preparation work in advance of the workshop they attend. This is available to access via the Operational Leaders course page. The following ILM units will be covered during the taught sessions, and through online materials:

  • Assessing your own leadership effectiveness and performance
  • Becoming an effective leader

To gain an ILM Level 5 Award or Certificate, you will be required to: Attend all scheduled workshops Complete any interactive activities set to support your learning Complete assignments for each unit you study What support will you receive? To help you to complete the course, you will be supported through: Access to experienced tutors Comprehensive study materials Access to learning resources Facilitated peer groups to share your experiences
