Troubleshooting Process:
Problem Identification:
This involves gathering relevant information about the problem reported by the user, including symptoms, context of use and any error messages (e.g. we use the google drive platform for file sharing, but users can only view files, not download or edit them).
Problem Analysis:
Involves investigating the possible causes of the problem and determining which components or processes may be contributing to the issue (e.g., sharing permissions may not be correct).
Solution Development:
Once the likely cause of the problem has been identified, different potential solutions can be explored and evaluated for their feasibility in solving the problem (example: we can modify permissions to give editable access to as many people as we need).
Solution Implementation:
The best identified solution is selected and implemented effectively, following established procedures and protocols (example: we modify permissions).
Monitoring and Verification:
After implementing the solution, we follow up to make sure that the problem has been solved correctly and that there are no unwanted side effects (examples: we inform the users and confirm that everything is working correctly).
