This means that as teachers we need to plan activities to engage students in multiple ways and considering the different ways of learning. For example, games, videos, hands-on activities, images, text, and audios.

Multimodal

This principle means that teachers need to develop skills to present topics and knowledge in different ways. For example, giving students the opportunity to select the level of English in which they want to work. Also, providing authentic materials with different levels, ways of acessing, and using the multimodal principle which encourages the use of multple media to present topics.

The last principle attains the capacity of the teacher to provide the opportunity for students to select how they want to represent the acquired knowledge. For example, knowing that some students might want to create something instead of answering an activity question.
