story explication (no spoilers)

Sandman gets succefully out there with this plan, but when he is walking away, he see's rocks with perfect spheral holes and next to it a race announcement that says "Steel Ball Run Race, $50,000,000". Now, we see a perspective that is a guy putting his name on a contract. The name is Gyro Zeppeli, that is suscribing to a new race: "The Steel Ball Race". The worker that is giving Gyro the papers say the inscription costs $1,200.

Steel Ball Run begins with a tribe searching one of them, because he read an illegal book for the tribe. Later we know that the guy that they are searching is called Sandman. The tribe finally found him, but he started to run away and for some reason, he's as fast as the horses that the tribe is riding. We see Sandman with an excellent physical condition. He goes below the horse that is the leader riding. Sandman escapes thanks to the horse, because Sandman's plan was to get kicked by the horse legs to get away of there.

Summary:

"Steel Ball Run" is the seventh part in the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" series. It takes place in an alternate universe set in America in 1890, during a transcontinental horse race called "Steel Ball Run." In this book, that is the first volume of the part seven, the main characters are introduced, and the premise of the race is established. Johnny Joestar, an ex jockey who became paralyzed from the waist down, attends the race and observes Gyro Zeppeli, a mysterious participant who uses unique techniques with steel balls. Johnny discovers that Gyro's steel balls have healing properties, and he joins the race, hoping to recover the use of his legs. The story begins to explore the dynamics between Johnny and Gyro as they compete against other racers and face various challenges throughout the race. Additionally, supernatural elements are introduced, playing a significant role in the series. This volume sets the foundation for the story, presenting the main characters and their motivations, as well as the unique nature of the race and the world in which it is set.

Personal opinion:

I choosed this book because I finished the anime adaptation of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" mangas saga. The adaptation begins in the season one (part one) Phantom Blood and ends in the season six (part six) Stone Ocean. I liked it so much, so I decided to continue the story and buy the book of the seventh part.

If you're wondering that for example Gyro has differents colors on the differents photos, is because Hirohiko Araki doesn't have set colors for his creations, so he can add more creativity to his work.
