- MFA- "Multi-factor Authentication".
- RANSOMWARE- Software designed to block access to a computer system or files until a sum of money, or ranson, is paid.
- COOKIE- Small piece of data that a website stores on a user's computer or device.
- DATA BREACH- Occurs when sensitive, protected, or confidential data is accessed or disclosed without authorization.
- SPAM- An unsolicited e-mail message or newsgroup posting sent to many recipients or newsgroups at once.
DEFINE:
- NETIQUETTE- The code of acceptable behaviors users should follow while on the internet- that is, the conduct expexted of individuals while online.
- PUBLIC DOMAIN- Things like software or creative works that are free from copyright restriction.
- CIPA- Children's Internet Protection Act
- FIREWALLS- A general term that refers to both hardware and software used to restrict access to data on a network.
- INTERNET OF THINGS- Refers to the network of interconnected devices, objects, and systems that communicate and exchange data with each other over the internet.
DEFINE:
- DATA- A collection of unorgainzed facts.
- ISTE:
- INTERNET- An extremely high-speed network that develops and tests advanced internet technologies for research, teaching, and learning, including those used by Web 2.0 and Web 3.0.
- SOFTWARE- Series of instructions that tells hardware how to perform tasks. Also called computer program or program.
- PHISHING- A scam in which a perpetrator sends an official-looking e-mail that attempts to obtain personal and financial information from the recipient.
DEFINE:
I think the class was very easy to follow on most of the projects that we did. Some of them I thought could have used more step-by-step instructions.
I really enjoyed this class. I thought it was fun and I got to use documents for the first time that I could one day use in my classroom.
